What do Cabinetmakers do?

Here at RTC there is  general convention that we Cabinetmakers or Ébénistes are a peculiar bunch.

I'm sure you may have an idea from our title what we do.
For example: a cabinetmaker makes cabinets or does woodwork.
Correct.

But cabinets are also sold in big box stores and people can assemble them themselves.
Also what exactly is woodwork and how many woodworkers are really needed these days with so much manufacturing done overseas?

So you may not be sure in today's modern world, what a cabinetmaker actually does?
Furthermore, What do I need to learn to enter into the field of Cabinetry?

Well, Click on the link below

The Cabinetmaking Trade or L'Ébénisterie is taught here at Rosemount Technology Center,
part of the English Montreal School Board
